E-Cycle Wisconsin

    E-WASTE LAW
 Beginning January 1, 2010, the Town of Lomira dump site located at N10479 Cty Rd AY may no longer accept electronic devices for disposal due to Wisconsin’s electronics recycling legislation.
 
Electronic devices include: computers, computer monitors, printers, televisions, VCRs, DVD players, and telephones with video displays, etc.

The DNR has provided a list of Collection Sites for the disposal of these electronic devices at:

Refuse Collection Site

The Town of Lomira operates a refuse collection site for the benefit of Town of Lomira residents only. Certain recyclables are accepted on a no-charge basis. Those items are listed on the separate recycling list. Fees and hours for the refuse disposal are as follows:

Site hours: Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Small bag or container (15 gallon or less)
2.00 each
Large garbage bag (15-30 gallon)
3.00 each
Barrels (30-55 gallon)
6.00 each
Tires -  Automobile & Pick-up
5.00 each
Tires – Large Truck Tires 16” +
15.00 each
Appliances – Freezer, dryer, washer, stove, frig, microwaves
25.00 each
No Tractor Tires
No Electronic Devices-Effective January 1, 2010 
(No computers, monitors, printers, TVs, VCRs, DVD players, phones w/video display, etc.)

Note: Best to make arrangements w/appliance vendor to remove replaced appliances.


All tires must be off rims. Check with Randy Dittberner (960-7236) concerning any appliances not mentioned above, prior to bringing them down to the site. If he is not available, leave a message on the answering machine. The Town will not accept any antifreeze, paints, thinners, solvents, etc. Used oil is the only recyclable liquid now being accepted. Note: Paint may be dried to a solid and brought to the recycle center. Simply remove the lid and let the paint dry until it is no longer pour-able.

The Town has two bulk drop-off dates each year.
These are the 2nd Saturday of April and 2nd Saturday of October.

Fees for bulk drop-off will be determined by the attendant. Appliances and items containing freon must be placed outside of the dumpster where directed and are subject to appliance fee above.

No construction debris or yard waste will be accepted at any time.
